Changing up the blog is inevitable! I thought I would stick with the same thing forever and found that one thing or another didn't suit my needs. I actually learned a lot of good stuff from here: http://craftingwithcathair.blogspot.com/
If you scroll down to "categories" in the left margin and click "blog design series" and then start from the beginning you might find it useful - I did!
