So call me crazy! Yes, i like to visit cemeteries & take photos... Saturday went with my cousin to take photos of the Veteran National Cemetery in Houston where my grandpa & grandma are buried. I have taken photos here before but i feel that i have grown a lot since then....
So it was a very lovely day & got lots of great shots!
While we were there it was pretty neat because they were playing music from this big building almost church like. I was very peaceful music almost soothing, i am sure that everyone appreicated it.
It is also the same cemetery my cousin's friends Grandpa was buried in! What a coincidence!
I know death is a very touchy subject... & i have experienced quite a bit of death almost to the point it doesn't effect me as much as some people might think it should. I dont think i have become numb to the idea but just don't think of it as necesarily a bad thing.

Kim... these photos look incredible. You get better every day. And that cemetery looks really neat. I love old cemeteries. Creepy, yet, peaceful at the same time.
I agree! And the older the cemetery it is, the better I like it...Unless you enter through a rusty gate after midnight...
I am fascinated by old cemeteries...there are some really old ones around here.
Great photos!
These are fantastic!!! I love them and I can see that on the 4th we are going to take some incredible photos!!!
I hope that thinking cap of yours is full of ideas! I'm excited!
Kim, old cemeteries are the greatest. So many intersting things were written on the gravestones.
I'm facinated by this type of thing too. I used to live by a cemetery. well, it was practically my backyard, to say the least. And now i'm currently writing a story that involves one of the "haunted" cemeteries in New Orleans. I think those would amazing to visit!
Awesome Kim once again.
Jen - I see a cover for a book with these shots! Start writing.
Many years ago while visiting my grandmother in Indiana we would go to the old cemeteries. Some would have family members. She would walk up and down each row and tell us something about each person. Wish I was older at the time and took notes because now I can't remember anything she had told us.

Interesting head stones ...
I enjoy visiting cemeteries too. So much history and the headstones are sometimes pieces of art.
