Pleasure...

I find the simpliest things in life give me pleasure.... I love taking photographs of living things whether they are people, insects, or plants.... There is SO much beauty in this photo below not only with the flower but if you look closely in the upper left hand corner on the flower... there is one of the probably coolest looking spiders i have ever seen! He has a green torso & yellow legs with yellow & red spots... pretty freaking neat if you ask me!

Then here we have a simple railroad crossing sign... its been damaged from only God knows what but it is still standing... Just reminds me that you can go through life damaged but you are going to still be standing in the end. Nothing you are ever given is TOO much for you that at the end of the day you wont be standing.

Now you ask where all this seriousness comes from & well i must say it comes from Elizabeth Gilbert's book Eat, Pray, Love. Its a terrific tale of her journies in life where she was figuring out who she really is & MAN OH MAN!!! I must say that i was thinking about reading it before i ever knew it was being made into a movie & now i am trying to hurry up & read it so that i can go & see it (which will be the first EVER book that i have read before the movie has come out, or that i have seen it)
Now her story, however opposite it might be definitely gives you things too look at in your own life & helps you realize things about yourself that really i never would have looked at before. And right now i am in the "Pray, India" Chapter (hence the reason Pray is in focus) and it is by far my favorite because it has just helped me to relax again & take a step back & enjoy the here & now moments & stop focusing on what i want my future to look like. So sorry for all the seriousness but really felt the need to post this! & i must say that if you haven't checked out Eat, Pray, Love yet, you totally need to & not just because its being made into a movie but because it will change your life! And well if you dont like change then i dont recommend the book... lol.

What a day?!

Went to Kemah Boardwalk today & had a rather exciting time! Here my family is taking advantage of a photo opportunity after going on the Boardwalk Bullet!

And when i took photos yesterday after work saw some great flowers @ my sisters place!

And my new cowboy hat!! I was so excited to find this one & then the chair sitting on the porch waiting for the store attendants to get my sister a box for her purchase! I must say that i really LOVE it! lol. Pretty much my favorite photo of the day!
Soon i will be posting photos of the photoshoot with my sister! We had a blast & i have SEVERAL to choose from but will only be able to choose a few! And will also post more of my day with the fam @ Kemah... Great times with great people! & i am going to see Inception tonight with my cousin! I have been told great things but not holding out too much hope!

Running away...

Ok so i am not running away but thought it fitting because i am totally running out of photos that i feel like i can share with you from my Hawaii Trip but luckily we moved so much more scenery to shoot! North Shore Banzai Pipeline (this may not be the exact spot for the Banzai Pipeline but pretty darn close)Thought it was a pretty sweet pic anyways.

A little abstract....

Now i have been distant... trying to figure out where my true passion lies and having this blog has really opened my eyes... it gives me something to focus all my energy... poor my heart & soul out not only in pictures but in words. Describing to you what i am feeling while viewing these photos you have gotten closer to me than some of the people who have known me for years....

This is how i show the world what i see, how i feel, now it doesn't go into detail so i guess from there that is where my words come into play.
It has been a hard week... nothing has really happened... as you all know i have moved this weekend but there was something inside me that was missing & i wasn't sure until watching religiously like the CRAZED fan i am... Grey's Anatomy & Private Practice & it got me thinking about the things that i love most & the things that make me the happiest... The first thing that came to mind was mainly that i am afraid to fail @ something that i love.... & then it transeferred over to hanging out with my family & friends enjoying a good beer/wine(which ever you prefer) or hey even a mixed drink! talking about the good old days & creating your own memories. those moments are what make me happiest
And to capture that in a photo makes me EVEN happier. Photography is not only a hobby but a passion of mine & i am going to go after it with every fiber in my being! Thank you for sticking with me through my "trial" period... i am going to kick it into high gear & get the party started!

So sorry lately for the lengthy posts but it has been something that i have needed to talk through & doing it in my head well i was going CRAZY! lol. Unhook that latch & take a step forward towards happiness....Thanks for listening &...

A fairytale love letter.....

So went to see Dear John, tonight with my sister and all i have to say is OMG!!! If you think you can hold back your tears on this one please see it because oh boy! I was holding back because i didnt want to be the "one crazy lady" who balled her eyes out and i still freaking balled like a baby but overall it was one of the best movies i have seen lately! And a shout out to Channing Tatum (he is SUPER hot) as he totally proved to me that he could hold his own as an actor! What a good night... headed to bed as going to give blood & girls movie night tomorrow! YAY!
