Pleasure...

I find the simpliest things in life give me pleasure.... I love taking photographs of living things whether they are people, insects, or plants.... There is SO much beauty in this photo below not only with the flower but if you look closely in the upper left hand corner on the flower... there is one of the probably coolest looking spiders i have ever seen! He has a green torso & yellow legs with yellow & red spots... pretty freaking neat if you ask me!

Then here we have a simple railroad crossing sign... its been damaged from only God knows what but it is still standing... Just reminds me that you can go through life damaged but you are going to still be standing in the end. Nothing you are ever given is TOO much for you that at the end of the day you wont be standing.

Now you ask where all this seriousness comes from & well i must say it comes from Elizabeth Gilbert's book Eat, Pray, Love. Its a terrific tale of her journies in life where she was figuring out who she really is & MAN OH MAN!!! I must say that i was thinking about reading it before i ever knew it was being made into a movie & now i am trying to hurry up & read it so that i can go & see it (which will be the first EVER book that i have read before the movie has come out, or that i have seen it)
Now her story, however opposite it might be definitely gives you things too look at in your own life & helps you realize things about yourself that really i never would have looked at before. And right now i am in the "Pray, India" Chapter (hence the reason Pray is in focus) and it is by far my favorite because it has just helped me to relax again & take a step back & enjoy the here & now moments & stop focusing on what i want my future to look like. So sorry for all the seriousness but really felt the need to post this! & i must say that if you haven't checked out Eat, Pray, Love yet, you totally need to & not just because its being made into a movie but because it will change your life! And well if you dont like change then i dont recommend the book... lol.

Entertaining Artistic Information

Here are a few more photos taken @ the zoo! This is one of my favorites! I love the way that the sun is peaking through all the branches & speckling all over the wall!

I must say that i felt like i was back in Hawaii with the amount of flowers that were placed all throughout the zoo! AMAZING!

I love trees like this that have a lot of texture to it!

I love the Royal & Navy blue colors that are used in this flower! Absolutely goregous! I need to find an artistic way to photograph flowers... so if you have any ideas... PLEASE let me know! Today was a rather boring day at work... but before work went to the Chiro which always feels FAN-freaking-TASTIC! But wears me out so i am exhausted when i go to work but oh well... lol

This evening i also took the PLUNGE & ordered Zumba Fitness (which is a fusion of latin dance moves & international music that creates a dynamic, exciting, & effective fitness system) workout package... Trying to get myself back into working out & i have heard SO many great things about this & thought WHY NOT?! lol

Playfulness....

So lately i haven't really been feeling up to par as my back has affected my daily life... went to the Chiro for the first time today and must say it was pretty overwhelming... in a good way... They had SO much to offer i almost felt like i was in a dream. Tomorrow i head back to maybe go over a treatment plan after we discuss what was found on my X-rays... Should be fun! lol Upside i dont have to go to work tomorrow! Anyways to the photos...

Below i am ALWAYS intrigued by what may be under a bridge & to my surprise its pretty much the same thing EVERY time... a stream of flowing water (river, creek, bayou, whatever you may call it) And lots of GREEN! lol So of course you can assume since green is my favorite color i would be thoroughly esctatic EVERY time...

Now when i come to find these 2 very plain posts but yet they have something very similar & in the same color out POPS (goes the weasel, lol) my artistic side!

Below we have this wretched dog... now granted he looks all sweet in his ruggedness but you stare at this one wrong and he is bound to bite your head off, Literally! lol
Now here is another photo from under the bridge... i have changed up the color a bit and find myself looking at it as though i had painted it... Maybe its just me but i rather like it lol

Ah beloved spring time! Flowers are in bloom, the scent of rain is in the air, & HUMID Houston weather! Got to love it!

Not real sure what i got out of this one but i LOVE the yellow... its so bright & vibrant definitely reminds me that springtime is here if the Houston raind did not which we have been seeming to receive a lot of lately! Not that i mind because most of the time i have been asleep when it comes! Can't stand to drive in the rain with a bunch of CRAZY people who only go like 20 mph on the freeway! Anyways enough ranting from me! I will be retiring for the evening! No work for me today, tomorrow, & Friday! If you can count yes that is a 5 day weekend! YAY!

Rain, Rain, Here to Stay...

Ok so most of you know how much i LOVE LOVE LOVE the rain & thunderstorms! Well today it had been rather gloomy & the clouds have been rather FANTASTIC lately! And yesterday i attempted to take a walk with my camera and i must say i was disappointed in myself as it stopped working because i FORGOT to change the battery... Yes i was rather upset with myself. Anyways... so tonight i was all ready battery charged, umbrella in hand(in case it started pouring, which it did), & off i ventured into the neighborhood... I loved the layers upon layers of clouds! All different colors & sizes... FUN!

And below near my house there is an area over grown woods its a VERY small part but had these very interesting looking flowers... so i thought i would share!

To me the clouds looked like a mountain or like they were covering a mountain & i found it very soothing...

And who doesn't love going for a walk with your camera just to have it POUR down rain!!!

I know that it may seem like sarcasm but i must say that i feel my calling might be as a storm photographer... lol... i love the danger & the natural beauty of it. Plus its challenging to me & I love myself a challenge. Anyways i just love this green with the white & the rain in the background... which i must say that i didnt even catch the rain until i uploaded the photo! So of course i was EVEN more pleased with this shot... Definitely my favorite of the bunch. So anyways hope you all enjoyed because i know i had a TERRIFIC walk even though i my pants were drenched by the time that i made it home!

A tribute....

So this post is dedicated to a very special blogger buddy who i know will TOTALLY appreciate this & has helped me & encouraged me even though she may not know it! So Athina i know how much you LOVE flowers so i have dedicated this post to you from all the flower pictures & a few other nature related but mostly flowers just for you! Hope you enjoy!

Things of fascination...

Now most of you should know by now that i am VERY random & i bought this SUPER cute dress this weekend & this braided detail below went all the way around the chest area & crossed in back... i thought this was a neat take on it! i love the color as well!!

Below it had been raining & i love the way the water droplets can just stick to something! And thought this flower was perdy!



I took a photo of my foot... now its not the most attractive foot there is out there but i must admit i am a big fan of this photo!

So today embarked on a week long journey waiting it out until i go on vacation & i must say that it was a rather successful day! Felt more productive today then i did last week! lol.

A landscaping monday!!

So i didnt really have a whole lot going on today... woke up this morning & went to work but other than that pretty uneventful... So i decided to post a few landscaping pics from around my work that i took not too last week sometime....

Below i believe are Indian Paintbrushes... GORGEOUS flowers!!
I am not quite sure what this things was but it was spookily (ok so i dont think this is a word but i like it lol) cool! And the colors were rather fantastic!

Ah now my favorite one of today.. This tree basically popped up out of no where... lol they were building around us and i guess the decided that it was a bit bare so the added a single tree at the end of a sidewalk... Kinda cool...

So these next 2 weeks are probably going to be the LONGEST of my entire life... lol. Hawaii & baby Chloe here i come!!!!!!!!!! lol... Ok well in 2 weeks anyways i will definitely be on an 8 hour flight!

The rain is here to stay....

Now normally i wouldnt be too happy about it but i have been wanting to take pictures and actually "capture" the rain... & lately it has been REALLY nice outside. So I found out it was going to rain ALL day and as you can tell i was rather ecstatic about it because it gave me 10 times the amount of chances to actually get it!

A sort of roughness....

SO i took this the other day while i was reading outside at work... played with it a bit & rather like it plus a plug for Prada & Prejudice which i thought was a REALLY good book although it didnt end the way i wanted it too! lol

A little bit of patriotism... it was a really nice day and i love how it captured as the wind ruffled the flags!

So today was a rather average day (kinda boring) but this evening i would just like to say i am SO glad that i am moving because my apt complex sucks BIG time! Hope you all had a lovely day!!
