Oh my lord...

So here is a tree to start the journey of an INCREDIBLY long hike....

And here is Diamond Head the mountain in which i took the INCREDIBLY long hike....

Here is about half way up Diamond head & i must say that i was COMPLETELY unprepared for the journey & have put shame to myself & my family....

Isn't this a gorgeous view though? lol. I thought so... lol
Now... here is where i stopped... i know go ahead YELL at me for all i care. lol. I yelled at myself now i can give all the excuses i want it was that time of the month (which it was & i am NOT athletic at all during that time lol) or i am not physically up to par, or i didnt drink enough water... all of which i find valid excuses but the FACT is i didnt climb all the way to the TOP of diamond head & i admit it... lol. Wish that i could have embraced the beautiful view and that that would have made the journey of basically KILLING myself worth it but i wasn't ANY where near in shape at this point adminster myself to trekk on up another 200 & some odd stairs...
So i would like to say sorry that i could not capture the beautiful view that i know was up there waiting for me. Hopefully you enjoy these pictures in the mean time... :(
Still a Happy Monday!!!

I think you did a fantastic job! Look at how far you came! That's really something. And you admit it with pride, that's just way cool.

Your photos are once again gorgeous. I LOVE the one of that tree, it's so cool :)

you'll just have to go back to hawaii and make it to the top then! i know...who wants to go back to hawaii? :P

the pictures you did take were great though! love the one of the winding trail - that hike was definitely brutal, that's for sure!

Still ... great shots! You're not the first one to not make it!

Water is the 1st thing I know i need to have for that hike. The being shape part ... if you're not under time constraints, don't worry ... stop & enjoy the views. Go get'em the next time you're here! :-)

My Hubby and I actually made it to the top of Diamond Head about 5 years ago. I never, ever thought we would do it. Overweight and old and unprepared should have been deterents but our Grandkids pushed us forward and totally red-faced, sweaty and out of breathe we did arrive at the top.
I do know what you were going through. Hope your vacation is truly wonderful.
